Close to five acres at the Alltel Pavilion at Walnut Creek have been transformed into Silent Forest creating a terrifying walking tour will take you through haunted buildings, woods and cemetary grounds. Check the website for scheduled events,discounts and information. (A portion of the proceeds will benefit Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.)

Spencer Mountain's Haunted Mansion
A proven real haunt! There have been many documented facts and proven statements that have been confirmed by not just one but many paranormal professionals from across the United States, that show clear evidence that the house is haunted. The old mansion now sits abroad where the old Spencer Mountain Cemetery used to sit. In fact, the entire hillside from Pharr Blvd. all the way over to Ranlo/Spencer Mountain Road was once a final resting place for many unforgotten souls. This leaves a conclusion that is only based on facts not fiction, proof by sight, sound, touch, and feeling. This Mansion is haunted. This mansion is still home to many that lie beneath the earth. Stoney Point Trail of Terror
The Stoney Point Fire Department will be hosting it's 6th annual Trail of Terror with this years new theme "The 13th Door". The 13th Door is the ultimate haunted trail! Journey through very frightening themed indoor and (weather-permitting) outdoor areas where your worst nightmares come true and anything can happen.

Terror by the Creek
In 1905, a hundred years ago in Lincolnton, it was late in the day when Denise Propst walked up to the old ram shackled gristmill to see why her husband was did not come home for lunch, stepping in through the door Denise was horrified to find the disemboweled corpse of her husband laying in a heap by the back door, as she turned she saw the floor strewn with the bodies of his fallen co workers all mangled and broken. Denise was never the same after that day and they had to close the old grist mill because no one would go near it. For after all when 25 people were murdered in that place there’s a pretty good chance it haunted. But they have opened up the old grist mill for the one hundred year anniversary for the tragedy of that day. So come to terror by the creek, if you dare!

Terror By The Tracks
They're Hungry, they're waiting for you. Terror By The Tracks is a unique, popular, haunt event now in its 6th year! As you try to get away from the more than 40 scary creatures and ghouls that are hunting for helpless victims throughout this entire old haunted theater - whether creeping upstairs in the old balcony, hiding backstage in the pitch black or trying to make it through the dark theater, you can't escape!
Proceeds from this event are used for the care and restoration of the historic Joy Performance Center.

The Bloody Reign of the Mad Miner
Come experience the scariest place in Cabarrus County this October. Based on a local legend, “The Bloody Reign of the Mad Miner” portrays the story of a gold miner driven to murder his mail-order bride. Visitors will witness the carnage of the mad miner’s wrath and hear the screams of his ill-fated wife and other victims throughout the haunted mine. Reed Gold Mine State Historic Site presents its annual Halloween event on Friday and Saturday, October 21 and 22, and October 28 and 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each night.
Old-fashioned hayrides down Mansion Road will also be available.
Suggested Donations are: $3.00 for the haunted mine and $2.00 for the hayride.
Professional storytellers and magicians will also be on hand. There will be a camp fire complete with ghost stories.
All proceeds benefit Gold History Corporation, a non-profit organization that encourages and supports the preservation of North Carolina’s gold mining heritage at Reed Gold Mine.
