Trails of Terror haunted attraction West Wyoming Pennsylvania
Trails of Terror, a walk through the haunted woods, will be held by West Wyoming Hose Company #1 every weekend in October. As darkness falls, guides will lead victims—er, visitors—along a winding path through woods populated by maniacs, zombies, and all manner of the macabre—or so the survivors say.
An annual event and major fundraiser for the all-volunteer fire company. Trails of Terror has become an essential Halloween prequel. “It’s better to go with a group.” says Joe Shmo of Hazleton. “That way, your friends can keep an eye out so you don’t get attacked while you’re alone.” Those who are nauseated at the sight of blood or who have health problems are asked to stay at home, safe from the terrors of the trail. No small children are allowed.
Trails starts in the woods behind the Hose Company #1, 926 Shoemaker Avenue, in West Wyoming, at 8:00 on Saturdays and Sundays throughout October, with a special Friday walk on October 25. Refreshments are available. Tickets are $8 and can be bought the night of the events. For more information, call 570-693-1811, if you dare.
Hose Company #1 is an all-volunteer fire company that serves West Wyoming and the surrounding communities. Trails of Terror is a major fundraiser for the company, which relies primarily on donations for funding. Proceeds from the event will buy a new engine for the EMS vehicle.
The trails can be scary, but not as scary as running into a burning building, which is what these men and women volunteer to do. Support them while having some terrifying fun.

Waldorf Estate of Fear haunted attraction Lehighton Pennsylvania
Ask anyone in Palmerton about Oliver Sommersby and they’ll tell you about what happened that gruesome night in 1929. The night he stole the lives of everyone inside the Hotel Waldorf and then disappeared into thin air. But… ask the folks of Forest Inn about Oliver and you’ll get a different story, one you won’t forget.
In 1955 a seemed to be wealthy gentleman, from California, builds an establishment along Route 209 in Lehighton. A pub and restaurant with rooms to rent, calls it the Waldorf Hotel, a place for the middle class people to be merry and rest their souls, but rest, their souls never will. Over the next 10 years this “gentleman” from California tortured and killed at least 25 innocent people, women, children, whomever he could get his hands on, the ones he thought no one would miss until… he picked the wrong little girl.
