The Stanley Hotel
Request room number 217. It was in this room that Stephen King, inspired by the hotel, wrote half of "The Shining." Room 418 is said to experience the most ghostly activity; in fact, the entire fourth floor, the former servants quarters, is said to be active. Children's laughter and sounds of children playing in the hallways can often be heard. The hotel's original ownners, F.O. and Flora Stanley, are believed to haunt The Stanley as well.

Tri County Paranormal Research Society
TCP is a small group of paranormal investigators based out of Joplin Missouri. We also investigate areas of southwest Missouri, southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, and northwest Arkansas. TCP L was formed February 2007. Our investigations are focused around the science of the paranormal. We use a variety of equipment during our investigations to both prove and disprove accounts of paranormal activities. TCP does not charge a fee for investigations. Our investigation are strictly confidential and no information is released or publicized with out express written consent.
We find out about different locations by word of mouth, the Internet, scouting and by people contacting us.
