Perpetual Mourning
The music of Perpetual Mourning is a bouillabaisse of dark and mournful synthetic melodies, pulsating, psychotic electronic percussion, and ambience that (uncharacteristically to ambient music) defiantly announces itself to its listeners. John J. Starrick, the life-force behind the ever-evolving machine-driven project, began his musical journey as a drummer/percussionist for several alternative rock bands during the late 90s and early 21st century. In a reckless moment of rage-induced inspiration, he abandoned the rock band format in favor of his love of electronic music and computer-age recording possibilities.
